Accessing a UF COE Folder

If your computer is connected to the UF network, you can access network shares without using a VPN. Follow the steps below for your specific device:

For Windows Devices

Windows Desktop

This process is automatic. Simply log out and back in for the permission changes to take effect.

Windows 11 Laptop (and Off-Site Windows Devices)

Open File Explorer.
Right-Click This PC or your computer name, and select Map network drive...
Select a Drive Letter.
In the Folder field, type the path provided.
Ensure Reconnect at Sign-in is checked.

Windows 10 Laptop (and Off-Site Windows Devices)

Open File Explorer.
Click This PC or your computer name.
Under the Computer tab, click Map Network Drive.
Select a Drive Letter.
In the Folder field, type the path provided.
Ensure Reconnect at Sign-in is checked.

For Mac Devices

Open Finder.
Click Go from the menu bar at the top of your screen.
Select Connect to Server.
Type the server path in the format: smb://path, where "path" is the folder path provided.

Off-Campus Access

If you are off-campus, connecting to the UF VPN tunnel is required.
