Connect your Mac Laptop to the docking station located close to the middle of the conference room table near the OWL.

Turn on the TV(s) by pointing the remote at the middle of the TV setup and pressing the power button.

After 5-10 seconds, the TV(s) should start displaying the exact image of your laptop’s screen. This is called mirroring. Please refer to the image below for an example of the default (mirror) setup.
Extending the Displays:
An alternative to the setup above would be to extend the main display. In other words, use the TV(s) as an extra monitor that can display apps and windows that are different from your laptop’s screen.
- To achieve the alternative setup, click on the Apple logo in the top left of your screen - System Settings - Displays.
- After clicking Displays, make sure you have Built-in Display selected.
- To the right of the “Use as,” press the drop-down menu and select “Stop Mirroring.” This will extend your main display onto the TV(s) to be used as second monitor(s).
- To reposition the displays in relation to one another, press the Arrange button in the Displays menu and position the screens in a way that makes sense to you.
- Please refer to the image below for an example of this (extended screen) setup.
Note: You are unable to use two TVs as two separate monitors. The two TVs will always be mirroring each other.
Connect to Conference Rooms TVs -- Windows
- Connect your Windows Laptop to the docking station located close to the middle of the conference room table near the OWL.
- Turn on the TV(s) by pointing the remote at the middle of the TV setup.

An alternative to the setup above would be to extend the main display. In other words, use the TV(s) as a second monitor(s) that can display apps and windows that are different from your laptop’s screen.
- To achieve the alternative setup, click on the Windows button on your taskbar or keyboard à Settings à System à Display.
- In display settings, press on the dropdown to the right of the Identify button.
- Select Extend Desktop on … option
- When prompted, select Keep Changes.
- Please refer to the image below for an example of this (extended screen) setup.
- To reposition the displays in relation to one another, press Identify and move around the rectangles that represent the different displays into positions that make sense to you.
- If the displays are not connecting properly, please unplug your laptop from the docking station and plug it back in before trying anything else. In addition, reconnecting the power to the dock and the display connections is also considered good practice.
- If the picture on the remote screens looks too stretched out or low resolution, go to Display settings and adjust the scale & layout settings to their Recommended values.
- If the remote screens seem to have spotty video, try adjusting the refresh rate by going to Display settings à Related settings à Advanced display à Select the display that is experiencing bad video à Choose a higher refresh rate (Ex. 60 Hz)
