Teams Breakout Rooms
How To CREATE AND MANAGE Breakout Rooms:
1. If you are the organizer or co-organizer of the meeting, you should see a 'Rooms' Icon in the top menu bar of the Teams Meeting.

2. Upon clicking the 'Rooms' icon, a side menu will pop up where you will be allowed to choose the amount of breakout rooms that will be created
Underneath is a menu of three different choices. Which one you pick is up to you. But once you have selected, click create rooms at the bottom.

3. The next menu will pop up where you can open, close add (+) and delete (trash can icon) breakout rooms. You can also make announcements using the megaphone icon.
NOTE: You must assign at at least one person to a breakout room (if you elected the manually assign rooms) to open them.

4. In the settings tab which is located in the settings icon of the previous menu on the right side you can assign presenters to rooms and set time limits. Once done, click save.

5. Once done you can come back to this menu and close the rooms when you are finished.

How To Adjust Who The Co-Organizer Is Before The Meeting:
1. When creating the meeting, after adding the attendees, select more option if you want other people to have the ability to create and manage breakout rooms and have admin rights over the meeting.

2. A pop-up menu will appear where you will select Roles on the side menu.

3. Select the drop down arrow under "Choose Co-organizers" and select who you intend to give admin rights. When you are finished select "Apply" to complete the process.
4. You can also access this during a meeting by going into your calendar and selecting the meeting and clicking "Edit" and on the top bar menu, select "Meeting Options" where you will be taken to a browser tab where you can follow Step 2 and 3.
